A L1 head is gutted and rebuilt with a BB700 boost driver and Lux III incoporating a
modified E-can. The battery tube contact flange on the E-can was faced down until its
thickness was .015". This allows it to reside in the same area as the original ground ring
used in the stock head. The LED was attached to the heat sink with Arctic Silver epoxy
and the heat sink itself was bonded to the head with AS epoxy as well. One of the "mouse
holes" in the partial bulkhead of the head was opened more ahd outward after the picture
was taken below. This was to allow room for the ground wire soldered to the E-can.
With the two stage switch, this little light is a great package! I will eventually replace the
tail cap with a guarded version.
