Nichia NCCW023E 2 Watt LED.
The LED has a 30 degree beam angle. It was installed in a McLux with a 400 mA constant
current driver. A flood reflector has been installed for "finishing" of the appearance but the
reflector has little effect on the beam itself; the same beam pattern is present without the reflector.
Below is a beam shot next to a McLux with a Luxeon Q3 LED using a flood reflector.
There are some artifacts present in the Nichia's beam and although not evident in the photo,
there is a center bright portion of the beam that is blue in tint and the corona has a yellow
tint. From 5 feet out, the artifacts have little noticeable effect on objects being illuminated.
