The finescaled triggerfish have been seen working over the remains of longspined urchins but it was uncertain

whether they were the original attackers of the urchins. But today, I was witness to one initiating an attack and

ultimately sharing it with other fish taking the opportunity to feed as well.

Not much left.

I kept expecting to see the second triggerfish show up to share in the meal but it wasn;t until well later that I happened

back upon the scene and saw the two together.

They parted ways and the dark one got even darker as a Hawaiian Cleaner Wrasse gave it some attention.

A video shot from the surface of the start of the attack on the urchin.
