Alice and I came across a good sized cornet fish that had its mouth stuck open . I found I could

dive down from directly above and get in front of the fish and actually have it hold reasonably still

or swim backwards. It was still very difficult to get a proper focus on it.

We followed it for quite a while and saw it go through the full spectrum of colors and patterns.

I suspected it had a fish stuck in its mouth but it wasn't until it went to a light, translucent color

that I was able to spy the form of a fish for certain.
