While checking the waves at "Embassy" today, I noticed some flipper action about 150 yards out from

shore. After watching for a while I grabbed the binocs to confirm it was some turtles and it was. They kept

at it so I decided to grab the camera and paddle out on the wave ski to get a better view. I entered the

water a ways from them and then proceeded to swim slowly in their direction. As soon as I could make

them out through the murky water, a male came right at me to check me and the wave ski out. He left the

other male and female for a bit.

Having already taken more than enough stills of "turtle love" I opted to take some video of this encounter.

A second clip shot from topsides:

I decided to get in the water again and took a third clip. At the end it looked as if the "flipper play" had

advanced to a consumation of coupling but unfortunately her steerage was not great and she ended up

coming right at me and elected to dive quickly. The male was not up to the rapid course change and

acceleration.

As they dove out of sight I decided it was time to leave them to their triangle and I got back on the

waveski and prepared to paddle in. I was quite surprised when all of a sudden the three of them exploded to the

surface right next to me!?!?!

Later when I was out riding the wave ski on the waves I saw some flippers splashing outside and assume

these turtles were still at it.
