In the same sand hole on the reef that is often where Barnacle Billie spends the night, these turtle eggs were found and collected on 8-20-23

2 were intact.

On 8-21-23 more broken egg shells were taken. Some were partialy buried where Billie would rest under an overhang.

In the pic below in additon to the tako dealing with the goatfish and saddle wrasse you can see one of the broken egg shells.

Based on the size, it is guessed that these are hawksbill turtle eggs.

Barnacle Billie was identified nesting on the big island in June.
