I had a diver friend tell me he saw a hawksbill out at the scratching post so I swam out to see if she

was still there. Timing was good as I caught her at the surface after finishing her rest and before she

took off for parts unknown. As I suspected, it was 83-M.

She took numerous breaths and we hung at the surface for a while. Ultimately we were joined by a male

green sea turtle that perhaps had some interest in 83-M. I spotted him coming over and he engaged her in

a circling encounter:

He passed by me and then off he went.

83-M settled down on the sand and nibbled on a piece of coral and then lifted off and swam away.
