Loose Rock Retaining Wall:

The Loc-Line fixture above was placed between rock layers of a retaining wall. The long stem of the 49445 was held in place by packed dirt and the rocks. Had mortar been used, the fixture would be that much more secure. The 49445 was placed in an approximate desired orientation. The 49424 could then be articulated to yield the desired beam direction. Silicone filled crimp connections were used for wire terminations.

In addition to the Loc-Line fixtures, MicroStars have been placed directly in some "Moss" rocks for walkway illumination as well as landscape highlighting. The "Moss" rock was easily drilled with a hammer drill and water flowing into hole. A diamond burr was used to counter sink hole for the MicroStar head.

Although the MicroStar LEDs give of a bluish white color much like moonlight, their low level of intensity does not wash out the colors as high intensity standard landscape lights do.
